Experience luxury with First Caravan Tourism Package launched by Kerala Tourism

Kerala- God’s Own country will welcome you with all luxury facilities & comfort with new tourist package of Caravan tour. As announced by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC), it is a special caravan tourism package that will connect Kumarakom-Vagamon-Thekkady travel route. The package includes a night spend in caravan with enjoying misty hillocks of Vagamon. Will begin at Water Scapes in Kumarakom and end at Aranya Nivas in Thekkady. 

Caravan facilities will be customized as per travellers’ requirements with boarding, dropping points and route as per traveller’s choice. With maximum capacity of 4 adults and 2 children, the ride fare per kilometre has been fixed at 40 INR. You can enjoy all the facilities and complimentary comfort by paying 3,999 INR plus 18% taxes per person inclusive of veg breakfast.

Starting from lake-side Kumarakom in the morning, the caravan will reach Vagamon in the afternoon, covering a distance of 80-100 km through the stunning scenic settings of the central Kerala. The package offers free parking and bonfire experience for tourists at Keravan Meadows, Vagamon. The next day, the journey will resume to take visitors to eco-tourism hub Thekkady, where they will be provided stay at one of the KTDC’s properties. Tourists can opt for a single day journey or travel through the entire route.

First Caravan Park Introduced by kerala Tourism


The entire package is highly attractive package to offer domestic as well as international tourists a high-end experience at reasonable rates. The compliments in the package include free veg breakfast, refreshments to be served on caravan, free snacks, tea and coffee in park, bonfire experience and Wi-Fi connection for tourists. The breakfast will have a choice of seasonal fruit juices, toast, butter and jam, cornflakes or porridge, followed by a course of South Indian dishes like idly, dosa, appam, idiyappam with accompaniments like chutney and sambar. For those opting for North Indian menu, poori bhaji and stuffed parathas will be served with a variety of spice-rich curries.
