The Kedarnath Temple is one among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and one of the most Popular Hindu Pilgrimage sites.


The Temple stood erect from almost 400 years against the etrenal backdrop of Himalayas surrounded by glaciers. It is one of the highest temples in the World situated at an altitude of 11755 feet.


The Temple is accessible by foot and one of the toughest treks.

Opening Dates

On occasion of Shivratri, opening dates of Kedarnath Temple get announced. Every year lacs of pilgrims cover 16 Km Trek to the Temple for divine bliss.

Base Camp- Gaurikund

Named after Goodess Parvati, Gaurikund is base for Kedarnath Trek. It is believed that Goddess Parvati meditated at this spot to win Lord Shiva's affection.

Gaurikund Village

A holy town surrounded by scenic natural beauty is located near the confluence of two rivers, the Mandakini and the Ganga. There are several hot water springs in and around Gaurikund with medicinal properties.

Adi Shankaracharya Statue

The Statue of Adi Shankaracharya at Kedarnath was installed in the early 21st century as a tribute to Adi Shankaracharya's contributions to Hinduism and his role in establishing the four monasteries.
