Maharashtra has a diverse landscape with the western coastline, the Deccan plateau in the east, and the Western Ghats running parallel to the coastline. The state has a tropical climate with a monsoon season from June to September. Maharashtra is also home to several national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, such as Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, and Pench National Park.
