Amid huge tourists visit in Kashmir for pristine environment, the tourism department has gifted visitors with adventure activity of Hot Air balloon ride service at Zabarwan park in Srinagar. It is a perfect activity for adventure freaks who are not afraid of heights & ready for short duration aircraft ride. It is a oldest & successful technology of carrying humans into the sky amid lofty mountains between clouds.
The introduction of hot-air balloon is series of new initiatives to attract more tourists with new way of adventure. With march being recorded month for tourist footfall & a historic day with 15000 passengers at Srinagar Airport on March 28. Tulip garden Festival has also become successful to attract visitors with its natural beauty.
The first-ever Hot-air balloon installed at Zabarwan park offers breath taking view of Zabarwan mountains & famous Dal Lake. It has a capacity to accommodate four persons at one time with appropriate safety measures & rules.
Director Tourism Kashmir, G N Itoo said “Some five years ago, a routine balloon was introduced but this time, we have introduced the first ever hot-air balloon for tourists as well as local visitors at Zabarwan park today.”
He also added, it is for the trial run boasting a beautiful experience. If all goes well, more Hot air balloon at different tourist attractions will get installed. Department is also planning to introduce Paragliding at suitable tourist locations. Recently Srinagar heritage Tour bus service had been also launched.
