Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) a public service part of the Ministry of Railways recently proclaimed the instigation of a new train dubbed the ‘Navratri Special Tourist Train’ said to be destined for Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra with the latest dispatched Bharat Gaurav Rake from September 30.
This new circuit is commencing after the previous success of the Ramayana Circuit, operated by IRCTC Ltd. in this year June. The voyage to the new area has been considered to keep an eye on the approaching festive season.
This year, in June 2022, this train began its inaugural run by transporting 500 passengers on the Ramayana Yatra Circuit, which proved to be a big success. This completely air-conditioned tourist train will have eleven third-class AC coaches, one pantry car, and two SLRs.
The train will leave for Katra on September 30, 2022.
This railway journey pertaining to the period of four nights and five days will be beginning from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station containing 11 devoted 3-Tier AC carriages which will be able to carry 600 visitors in one sweep departure.
People of Ghaziabad, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Ambala, Sirhind, and Ludhiana can avail of this special train tour package for journeying.
The significance of Mata Vaishno Devi is huge during Navratri, hence bringing an ample amount of tourists to this shrine situated in Jammu & Kashmir. Due to this, people always had to face problems to seek availability to pay a visit. Keeping this high demand in mind IRCTC Ltd. has taken the initiative to resolve this issue by launching this package to assist devotees during this period of time.
Providing further information about this arrangement, CPRO of IRCTC Ltd. Anand Kumar Jha stated that the price range starting from INR 11,990 per person on a Double Occupancy basis is an all-encompassing proposal by IRCTC Ltd.
The amenities in the package include train journey in 3rd AC, night stay at AC hotels, all meals (veg only), all transfer and sightseeing in buses, travel insurance and services of a guide, etc. All health-protection precautions will be implemented by offering safe and healthy travel during the tour. Staff will be carefully vetted, and the kitchen will be completely cleaned and sanitized after each meal service, declared Mr. Jha.
Jha stated that the Covid-19 final immunization is required for all guests aged 18 and over. IRCTC would make every effort to give passengers a safe and pleasant experience, he stressed.
He further stated that in order to make this package more appealing and affordable to a larger population, IRCTC has partnered with Paytm and Razorpay payment processors to offer EMI payment alternatives for reducing the whole price down to small sums EMIs.
Users can choose to pay in 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, or 24-month EMIs. These EMI payment options are available by debit or credit card. Government/public sector personnel are eligible for LTC on this tour, according to rules released by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, he added.
Freshly prepared vegetarian meals/Falahaari Food will be supplied on board to customers in their assigned seats from the pantry car. The train also contains an infotainment system for passenger amusement and public announcements. Tourists have access to clean restrooms as well as additional security elements such as CCTV cameras and security guards for each coach.
