Longest Ropeway in India Set To Open Up From Dehradun to Mussoorie

A massive ropeway is set to unfold in Dehradun to Mussoorie to cut short inconveniences in tourist seasons and boost tourism.

Convenience is the mother of invention nowadays and the government has proven itself right on this. A ropeway project is said to begin in Mussoorie to Doon after passing many obstacles and setbacks. The ropeway has been set to action because of the traffic tie-up caused in tourist season as Lakhs upon Lakhs of people traverse this place to explore and find their definition of fun. Another reason is to save time for these concerned travelers who cannot bear the abated hours of travel between these cities for just a distance of 35Kms.

A persistent issue that came up is the height, which was stopping the government from furthering the construction as tall terminals have to be built but now it has been dealt with by the responsible people. The ropeway will be the longest ropeway in India and will cover a distance of 5.5 km with an initial setup of 60 trolleys.

The benefits are to be endless after the completion of this project, contributing to a less polluted valley. As traffic and throng of people will be managed in a more sustainable way, the ropeway will be a positive change.

The journey of this ropeway will be completed in 15-18 minutes from Doon to Mussoorie. The station for embarking and dismounting will be at Library Chowk. People will also be able to enjoy regal spectacles and townscapes which will be a memorable and unbelievable experience.

Pertaining to this, a boost in tourism will also be noticeable as it solves many issues of hilly roads which travelers face while traversing to Mussoorie. The underdeveloped roads have proven to be a challenge and as the setting up of this project is done, the government is also planning to develop the travel infrastructure to Mussoorie and some more integral infra changes will also be seen in the city.
