Recent app developed by Uttarakhand Tourism Board is for tourist safety and care. The mobile app compatible with android, Iphone & Ipad. The Mobile app is for pilgrims seeking for upcoming Chardham Tour & Hemkund Sahib yatra. As per the reports, visitors coming to visit four shrines of Char Dham, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri and famous Sikh Shrine of Hemkund Sahib have to install the Tourist Care System app on their mobile phones and register themselves on it.

The app is launched to care about overall safety on this divine land. After tragedy of 2013 at Kedarnath, such facilities are extremely required to located every traveller in State. With FAQs section, tourism board try to solve queries of tourists fast. It also facilitates safe adventure tourism with verified operators and activity monitoring.
How it Works
Once tourists register themselves on the tourist care app, their yatra routes to the five pilgrim routes will be kept on monitor with the help of 28 HD cameras installed at various locations enroute. Pilgrims will get weather updates issued by meteorological department and advance notifications for any weather-related disruptions as heavy rain, landslides or cloud burst.
The App is very useful for tourists as the Chardham Yatra is beginning soon from 3rd May. If tourists are not using android phones, then they will be given a wrist band with and individual QR code that will function same to offer relevant information.
Along with this number plate of Tourist’s vehicle will be also linked to the said app with help of automatic number plate recorder. This will ensure the current location of routes, weather updates and alerts.
