Dudhwa National Park Reopen on November 15 and the Helicopter service

Dudhwa National Park is reopening on November 15 with new features. Lalit Verma, the Field Director, shared that they are already taking bookings for visitors who want to explore the park's amazing wildlife. It is a great opportunity to experience nature's beauty.

Dudhwa National Park a 490 sq km nature haven on the Indo-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri, is making it easier for tourists. They have reduced their fees and are now offering helicopter rides to make it more accessible and enjoyable for visitors.

A helicopter service linking Lucknow to Dudhwa, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, and Chuka Tiger Reserve is on the horizon. Reports suggest it is in the final stages, and this service will significantly reduce travel time. Currently, a road trip from Lucknow to Dudhwa takes about 5 hours, but with the helicopter, it will be under half an hour. Stay tuned for the official start date announcement.

Lalit Verma shared more details, stating that the nearest helipad to Dudhwa is just 7 km away, making it a quick 20-minute journey to the park. The helicopter service will be conducted in coordination with the civil aviation department and will come at an affordable price for visitors. This best new option is set to increase the Dudhwa experience.

In addition to the helicopter service, Dudhwa National Park has some fantastic plans for visitors. In the coming year, they are offering free entry to school students and kids under 5, encouraging more families to explore the park's incredible natural beauty. It is a wonderful initiative to make Dudhwa even more accessible and educational for young visitors.

The state government is inviting investors to establish hotels within a one-kilometre radius of the park, providing convenient lodging options for tourists. Additionally, the park has reduced its tour cost from INR 300 to just INR 150 per person, making it even more budget-friendly for everyone to enjoy the park's rich wildlife and pristine landscapes. This is great for both visitors and the local economy.

Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) is making its mark by ranking fourth among tiger reserves nationwide. This achievement aligns with Uttar Pradesh's remarkable 18.49% increase in the overall tiger population, as reported in the 'Status of Tigers in India' study at the state level. It's a testament to the conservation efforts and the thriving tiger population in the region.
