The new & first full fledged airport of state is located in Itanagar. Finally the struggle of detour from Assam Airport to reach here will end for commuters and then can travel easily and conveneiently.
The new airport has been constructed with new technology and expanded in the area of 4100 Sqm. Accomodation capacity is 200 passengers approx. with eight check in counters. Till date, people has to travel from the airports of neighbouring state Assam’s Lillabari Airport & Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. Developed by AAI, the airport is energy efficient and have a runway of length 2300m.
The increasing popularity of tourism in north east will get a boost with this soon to be operational airport. Adventure lovers and nature enthusiasts will have not to think twice to make a plan to beautiful state with great solution to the connectivity issue.
