Chess Olympiad 2022 is going to be held in Chennai-The Chess Capital of India. For the first time, Chess Olympiad is getting organized in India.
Dates of Chess Olympiad 2022: 28th July to 10th August
The tournament is organized by FIDE at an interval of 2 years. This year, the event will commence as 44th Chess Olympiad where more than 2000 participants will take part.
Tamil Nadu Government is indulged in making preparations ahead of the tournament and welcome the participants. In lieu of that, the famous Napier bridge is decked up in chess board design that is attracting the visitors. It is one of most well known landmarks of Chennai. The bridge is beautifully constructed and the new theme is adding more beauty to it.
The anthem for the mega event has been recorded by Iconic A.R. Rahman and some parts of still are from Napier bridge. The whole euphoria is attracting to live in the culture, history and vibrant tradition of State.
