Delhi Airport: Snazzy New Arrival Terminal At T1 Get Operational

Newly constructed arrival terminal at T1 is now operational flaunting snazzy interiors and exteriors. The IGI Airport operated by Delhi International Airport Ltd. Has three terminals T1, T2 and T3 where T1 is domestic terminal and serves only low cast carriers. The new arrival terminal is spread across 8000 Sq m with four new baggage carousels. It is developed to enhance passenger experience with safety, security and convenience.

All Green initiatives have been followed with an overall daylight concept incorporated in the overall structure.

With the opening of the new arrival hall, the entire arrivals operations of T1 will shift from the existing facility to the new one. Departure operations will continue from the existing terminal, and will eventually be integrated with the new arrival’s hall post completion of the expansion works, as per reports.
DIAL said the facility would offer a distinctive experience with a contemporary 'meet and greet' zone, plush forecourt area, including landscaping and kiosks for food and beverage, retail and expanded parking area for cars.

To ease vehicle traffic congestion on city side, the pickup lanes outside the arrival terminal have been realigned and widened with three additional lanes, taking the total number of lanes to 11. It will significantly improve passenger experience and convenience during pickup.
