Lachung Monastery, also known as Lachung Gompa, is a Buddhist monastery located in the town of Lachung in North Sikkim district of India. Built in the 19th century, the monastery is one of the oldest and most important in the region. It belongs to the Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism and houses many rare Buddhist scriptures, murals, and artifacts.The monastery is situated amidst the serene and picturesque surroundings of the Lachung Valley, surrounded by towering snow-clad mountains and the gentle flow of the Lachung River.
