The much-awaited dates for the Char Dham Yatra of 2023 have been officially announced by the Uttarakhand Government. The Char Dham Yatra, covers the four holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath and is likely to commence on 22nd April 2023.

Kedarnath will open for the pilgrims on 26th April 2023 and will be closed on the auspicious day of Bhai Dooj which is on 14th November 2023. The occasion of Mahashivratari decides the opening date of Kedarnath.
Yamunotri opening and closing dates
Yamunotri is supposed to open on 22nd April. It opens on the occasion of Akshay Tritya each year and the dates to Yamunotri are closed on the occasion of Bhai Dooj like Kedarnath.
Gangotri opening and closing dates
The temples of Gangotri will open on 22nd April and will be closed on the next day of the biggest festival of India, Diwali which is 13th November. Like Yamunotri, Gangotri also opens on the occasion of Akshay Tritya each year.
