Vishakhapatnam District Administration has already sketched out plans for setting up a laser show at RK Beach and water sporting activities at Lawson’s Bay Colony Beach. The laser show is said to host 200 people at one time it is also anticipated to be completed in six months and will also create job opportunities for people quoted by Mr. A Mallikharjuna, District Collector.
Locals seem to be embracing this massive project since it will promote the city's travel and entertainment industries and properly highlight the port city's magnificent grandeur.
The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) and the Visakhapatnam District Authority will collaborate closely on these new projects. The fact that these initiatives would be started using a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) approach was also addressed.
The officials stated that all the necessary safety precautions would be implemented throughout the water sporting events to guarantee a safe experience for the general public. Rushikonda Beach is already regarded as a hotspot for adventure sports and other water sports. Visakhapatnam's tourist industry will significantly benefit from the addition of these new initiatives, such as the laser show.
A water world/adventure park that will soon be built in the city in cooperation with Vishakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority was another topic of discussion at a press conference held last week (VMRDA).
By the end of July, the government will also plant 10 Lakh saplings to improve the city's green cover.
