Jhiri is a small land in Jammu also known as Land of saints is welcoming the Jhiri mela 2022. Jhiri mela is weeklong event and begin on Kartik Purnima. This year it will last till 16th November. The mela is organized by joint efforts of Jammu Tourism deaprtment & district administration.
Something about jhiri Village
The village is located about 20 kms from Jammu on the left side of Jammu Akhnoor highway. The key highlight of mela is people paying obeisance at Baba Jittoo Temple and seek his & his daughter blessings. It has been reported that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the Mela as it is visited by lakhs of tourists from different parts of the country.
With major portion of farmers visitors from the province of Haryana, Punjab and Himachal, they must visit the fair to commemorate the sacrifice of the Baba. They take a customary dip in the Baba-da-Talab- a natural pond situated around 4 Km from the main temple.

Many visitors stay there in Jhiri and take part i sangat, bhajan for few days, then return to home. Jhiri Mela 2022 is getting visitors due to new inclusions of lajor light show based on Dogri folk song. With different skits,young people are encouraged to become independent. Many schemes related to Farmers and agriculture are centre of attraction.
