Visit Bikaner and join the Camel Festival- A lively and colourful event from 6th March to 8th march 2022. The festival to decorate camels- Ship of the desert to help the survival of locals. Bikaner hosts the annual Camel Festival every year. It is an initiative of the Department of Tourism, Govt of Rajasthan. History of Festival is related to strength, endurance & beauty of camels of Bikaner region. The festival brings the special relation of people of this region with this sturdy animal, and also promotes camel breeding and the age-old tradition of camel taming and training.
Usually, the event take place in month of January, but due to COVID rising cases in the past month, the event has been rescheduled for March month.
The festival begins with procession where camels are adorned with traditional necklaces, anklets & clothes. The colourful parade begins from Junagarh Fort and ends at Dr, Karni Singh Stadium. (Open Ground)
