Uttarakhand Planning the ‘Modi Circuit’ at Jim Corbett National Park Inspired by Man vs. Wild

A plan has been put together to form a ‘Modi Circuit’ at the Jim Corbett National Park for people to explore places of interest visited by Modi.

Recently news of the Uttarakhand government developing a ‘Modi Circuit’ at Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand has come out. It will cover areas where Prime Minister Modi had visited during a special episode aired of the survival reality television show, ‘Man vs. Wild’ with Bear Grylls.

The officials who are in the loop stated that they have already started spotting places for tourists to lodge and stopped by the spots graced by the Prime Minister. The episode first aired in 2019 showcasing the Prime Minister indulging in a number of adventure activities along with crossing the Kosi River with a makeshift raft build by both the people and strolling on a tiger trail.

This idea of generating a ‘Modi Circuit’ came to Uttarakhand Tourism Minister, Mr. Satpal Maharaj after he had a visit to Croatia. There was a special trail/tour created to generate tourism specifically to the areas where the famous television series was shot.

The path is supposed to be made in such a way that tourists experience exactly what our Prime Minister did during his tour as well as is said to be a positive addition to the already popular tourist destination of Jim Corbett National Park. Colonel Ashvini Pundir, CEO of the adventure sports wing of the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board also praised our PM’s presence as an influencer and how such places invoke interest among the general crowd. The details of the circuit are still under development, quoted by Mr. Pundir.

Further statements were made by Mr. Pundir about how the plan of action will be. First, the places of interest, that is places visited by Prime Minister and Bear Grylls will be identified, after which preparations will be made to make it possible for tourists to visit these spots as well.

The show popularized for teaching survival techniques in harsh situations was first aired in 2006. Since then 7 seasons have come of Bear Grylls ever evolving and showing best tactics to survive the wild out there.
