The holy cities of Mathura and Vrindavan are set to commit on a cruise to secure their spot as a prominent tourist destination from Agra.
The sibling cities of Mathura and Vrindavan are about to see a major change with a development of cruise that is being added with regards to promoting religious tours in these cities. Both the cities will be linked by the cruise for which aqueducts will be put in place on the Yamuna. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal recently stated if all things are to be going as per plans; the changes will be set in place soon.
The minister also further discussed the potential of attracting tourists from Agra as a detour to Mathura. Whilst at an event recently at Shankaracharya Ashram in Govardhan, the minister was enquired by Shankaracharya Adhokshajanand Deo Tirth about what efforts the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways was making to encourage tourism in the region, to which the above details were revealed.
The Union Ministry of Shipping added his meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath which took place lately over the proposal of linking Gokul, Mathura, and Vrindavan via waterways on the Yamuna.
The cities of Mathura & Vrindavan are famous for being the birthplace and the place of adolescence of Lord Krishna. Multiple stories follow the streets and call upon throngs of tourists and pilgrims from all over the world.
