IRCTC will run first ever Bharat Gaurav Tourist train through the Ramayana Circuit planned under Swadesh Darshan Scheme. The circuit is connected with all prominent places associated with life of Lord Rama and Mata Sita. The highlight of tour is stopover at the famous Ram Janki Temple in Janakpur, Nepal. This is a great initiative to promote religious tourism.
Key Information about Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train Circuit
• The train will depart from Safdarjung Railway Station on 21st June
• The Tour duration will be 18 days.
• Total 600 passengers can travel with third class AC coaches
• First 100 passengers will get 10% discount on booking from IRCTC.
• Tourists will get vegetarian food on journey.
• Will cover various parts of India and Janakpur in Nepal by train and some parts by Road.
• The tour circuit will cover approx. 8000 kilometres form train.
First attraction will be Shri Ram Janmbhumi Temple followed by Hanuman Temple and Bharat Mandir at Nandigram. With next stop at Buxar in Bihar where tourists will visit Maharishi Vishwamitra Hermitage and Sitamarhi- birthplace of Sita.
Form border of Bihar, train journey will move forward to Janakpur in Nepal. The next stop will be at Varanasi where tourist can explore temples. After Varanasi tour, trip will continue with road trip to Sita Samahit Sthal, Prayag, Shringverpur and Chitrakoot.
Form Varanasi, the train tour will move to Nashik for darshan at Trayambakeshwar Temple and Panchvati. The train will move to ancient city Krishkindha in Hampi for darshan of Lord Hanuman at top of Anjaneyadri Hills. Post that train will move to Rameshwaram which is related to most important aspect of Ramayan. Visit to one of the four pillars of Char Dhams of India- Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi.
The journey will end at last destination- Bhadrachalam in Telengana followed by Shiv Kanchi, Vishnu Kanchi and Kamakshi Temples at Kanchipuram. After 8000 kms of train journey, finally the tour will end at Delhi.
