They have joined forces with Archer Aviation, a cool company all about electric aircraft and air taxis. Indigo's serious about this - they even signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Archer Aviation. So, buckle up for a thrilling journey in the air with Indigo's electric air taxi service.  

The new Inter Globe-Archer electric flight will zoom you from Delhi's Connaught Place to Gurugram in just 7 minutes. That's super-fast by road, the same trip takes 60-90 minutes for 27 kilometres. This news, shared on Thursday, means less time in traffic and more time enjoying the journey. Fasten your seatbelts – it is going to be a quick and exciting ride.

Apart from the air taxi service, the companies are teaming up for more. Along with the air taxi service, they are planning to grow their partnership in different areas. They want to use these electric aircraft for more cool stuff in India—like delivering cargo, handling logistics, supporting medical and emergency services, and even offering private company and charter services. There is a whole bunch of exciting plans taking off.

Archer Aviation is making big moves They just shared some exciting news on X, saying, We’re proud to announce a landmark deal with @InterGlobe_IGE – India’s foremost travel and hospitality conglomerate – with plans to launch electric air taxis across India’s largest, most congested cities in 2026. This week, our Chief Commercial Officer, @ngoel, was in New Delhi to be part of a signing ceremony with InterGlobe’s Group Managing Director, Rahul Bhatia for an MOU between the parties
