AirAsia India of TATA Groups’ has finally got the nod to fly its first international flight in month of January that is remarkable achievement after 8 years of beginning of its operations. The low-cost Carrier will operate a non-scheduled cargo flight on Kochi-Dubai-Kochi Route.

The Airline’s first flight flied on June 2014 with fleet of 20 aircrafts in December 2018. It then met the criteria of 0/20 rule which states no minimum requirement on number of years in operation and at least 20 aircraft in fleet to fly abroad. But due to some effectiveness issues, the clearance was delayed by authorities. (Source)
