Gujarat Science City is a science museum and research center located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. To carry out the Gujarat Science City mandate, the Gujarat Government established the Gujarat Council of Science City, a registered society. 107 hectares of land are already under the control of the government. The promotion of science is a top goal in the new context of knowledge-driven economic growth in order to foster a scientific mindset in society. The Gujarati government has taken the daring step of creating Gujarat Science City to carry out this priority. The government is building an expansive facility in Ahmedabad with the goal of delivering the ideal fusion of education and leisure.
The planetarium is one of the main attractions of the science city. It features a 23-meter tilted dome and can seat up to 276 people. The planetarium shows educational films and presentations on astronomy and space science.
The life science park is another highlight of the science city. It showcases various living organisms, including plants, animals, and insects, and their role in the ecosystem. The energy park exhibits various sources of energy, such as wind, solar, and nuclear power, and their importance in sustaining human civilization.
