Ahmad Shah of the Muzaffarid dynasty constructed Bhadra Fort in 1411, which is situated on the east bank of the Sabarmati River. In addition, he is credited with founding Ahmedabad.
The Bhadra Fort, sometimes called the Arak Fort, is claimed to have gotten its name from the Bhadrakali temple that the Marathas built nearby. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) renovated this red stone fort beside the Sabarmati river in 2014. Significant events like the Republic Day and the country's Independence Day are frequently held at Bhadra Fort.
The Teen Darwaza, also known as the Maidan Shahi, is one of the fort's key charms that draw throngs of tourists. It was originally the site of royal processions and sports. One of the busiest areas in the city is the fort. At the moment, there are no entrance fees for the fort, so anyone can go there. There are no security regulations, but the cops keep an eye out to make sure nothing bad happens. Nobody is authorized to throw trash around, and doing so will result in punishment.
