Dagduseth Halwai Ganapati Temple, commonly known as Dagduseth Temple, is a popular temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha located in Pune, India. The temple is considered to be one of the most famous and respected Ganesha temples in the city. It was built by a wealthy businessman named Dagduseth Halwai in 1893 and is now managed by his descendants.The temple is open every day of the week during 5:00 am to 10:30pm.
The temple is known for its grand architecture and intricate carvings. The main temple is built in the traditional Maratha style and features a large statue of Lord Ganesha, made of pure gold and adorned with jewels. The temple also features a beautiful courtyard and a large hall for devotees to gather and offer prayers.
One of the unique features of the temple is the ‘chaitya’ or the prayer hall, which is built in the style of a Buddhist chaitya and features intricate carvings of Lord Ganesha, his family, and other Hindu deities.
