Bagh Rauza is a mausoleum located in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. It is situated in the city of Aurangabad and is one of the most important historical landmarks of the city. The mausoleum was built in the early 18th century by Aurangzeb's son, Azam Shah, as a final resting place for his father, Aurangzeb.
Bagh Rauza is a beautifully designed mausoleum with a central dome and four smaller domes at the corners. The mausoleum is surrounded by a large garden and features intricate carvings and frescoes on the walls and ceilings. The mausoleum is also known for its intricate tile work and the use of marble in its construction.
The monuments made of black stone at Bagh Rauza may be best ignored because they are currently in a very sad and damaged state. But the tomb of a guy who was actually the founder of Ahmednagar city is housed inside this abhorrent monument. Ahmed Nizam Shah was the man; he was the creator of the Nizam Shahi Dynasty and the man responsible for establishing Ahmednagar as we know it today. In actuality, Ahmed Nizam Shah's name is a part of the origin of the name Ahmednagar.
