Rafting is a thrilling and adventurous activity that draws thrill-seekers from all over the world to Manali. Manali, Himachal Pradesh, is home to the Beas River, a well-liked destination for rafting enthusiasts, which is tucked away in the Himalayan mountain range. The Himalayan glaciers that are melting feed the river, resulting in a swift and difficult flow of rapids that provide for an amazing rafting experience. Both novice and expert rafters can enjoy rafting in Manali since different river sections provide varying degrees of difficulty. The most well-liked portion of the river to raft is between Pirdi and Jhiri, which is roughly 14 kilometers long and takes around two hours to complete. This section of rapids includes Grade I to Grade IV rapids.

When the weather is pleasant and the water levels are ideal, April to June and September to November are the ideal times to go rafting in Manali. A more thrilling experience is provided in the summer when the Himalayan peaks' snowmelt causes higher water levels and faster rapids. The river freezes over in the winter, making rafting impossible. Manali offers rafting in addition to other adventure sports including skiing, paragliding, and trekking. There are numerous hotels, eateries, and markets in the town proper that appeal to travelers. The Hadimba Temple, the Rohtang Pass, and the Solang Valley are just a few of the neighbouring sites that tourists can explore.
