
National Rail Museum
The National Rail Museum is a museum in New Delhi, India, located near Chanakyapuri. The museum is the largest rail museum in Asia and is dedicated to the history and legacy of Indian Railways. The museum covers an area of 11 acres and has approximately 100 exhibits, including steam engines, carriages, and other railway equipment.
The museum is separated into zones, each with its distinct subject. The museum's major draw is its collection of steam engines, which includes some of the world's oldest and most historically significant engines. A model of the first passenger railway, which ran in India in 1853, is also on display in the museum. The museum also has a part dedicated to the history of Indian Railways, which includes images, relics, and other historical artefacts that help visitors understand the evolution of the Indian railway system.
