Devprayag
Devprayag, a tiny town in Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal district, is located where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers converge. The town is a significant Hindu pilgrimage location and is regarded as one of the Panch Prayags (five confluences) of the Alaknanda River.
Dev Sharma, a mythological monarch who is said to have conducted a penance here, is the inspiration for the town's name. As the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers converge here to produce the sacred river, Devprayag is also regarded as the location where the Ganges river was first created. In addition to its religious importance, Devprayag is renowned for its spectacular vistas and scenic beauty. The town provides expansive vistas of the snow-capped peaks and is encircled by the stunning Garhwal Mountains.
