Kainchi Dham

In the heart of nature in the picturesque Indian town of Nainital, Kainchi Dham is a place of spiritual pilgrimage. The phrases "Kainchi" and "Dham," which together signify "abode," are the origin of the name "Kainchi Dham". On the banks of the Kosi River, this tranquil ashram is surrounded by verdant mountains.

The renowned spiritual teacher Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Neeb Karori Baba, founded the ashram in the 1960s. Thousands of devotees go from all over the world to visit the ashram, which is currently run by his supporters. The Hanuman Mandir, a temple dedicated to the monkey god Lord Hanuman, is the center of interest at the Kainchi Dham. The shrine was erected on the site of Neem Karoli Baba's heavenly Hanuman vision. The temple's idol of Lord Hanuman is thought to possess extraordinary abilities and be able to grant devotees' requests.
