In the Indian state of Uttarakhand's Almora district sits the little town of Jageshwar. The town is well-known for its Lord Shiva-themed, historic temples. Just a few of the town's original approximately 300 temples are said to still be standing.
The Jageshwar Temples are a collection of Hindu temples that were allegedly constructed between the seventh and the twelfth century. The Jageshwar Mahadev Temple, which is the principal temple, is said to have been constructed in the eighth century.
