
Raman Science Centre
The Raman Science Center (RSC) is a popular science museum located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. The center is named after the Indian physicist Sir C.V. Raman who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for his pioneering work on the scattering of light. The center was established in 1991 and is managed by the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The RSC aims to promote scientific awareness and education among the public, particularly children, by providing interactive and hands-on exhibits. The center features a wide variety of exhibits on various scientific topics, including physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science. Visitors can also see a planetarium, a science park, and a 3D theater. The center also offers science demonstrations, workshops, and educational programs for school groups.
