
Anamudi Peak
Anamudi Peak, located in the Indian state of Kerala, is the highest peak in the Western Ghats mountain range, standing tall at an impressive height of 2,695 meters (8,842 feet). The name Anamudi translates to elephant's forehead in the local Malayalam language, and the peak is so named because it is said to resemble the head of an elephant.
Anamudi Peak is surrounded by the Eravikulam National Park, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. The park is also a popular trekking destination, and visitors can embark on various trekking routes that offer stunning views of the peak and the surrounding hills.
