Shri Bhalka Teerth is a famous Hindu pilgrimage site located in the city of Veraval in the state of Gujarat, India. It is believed to be the location where Lord Krishna, the eighth manifestation of Lord Vishnu, was fatally wounded by an arrow shot by a hunter by the name of Jara.
The Shri Krishna Pranami Mandir, a stunning temple that houses a black stone statue of Lord Krishna in his sleeping form, is the major draw of Shri Bhalka Teerth. The temple is a well-liked location for prayer and meditation because it is surrounded by lovely gardens and fountains.
The location of little shrine that marks the spot where Lord Krishna was struck by the arrow lies close to the temple. The Yadav community, who are Krishna-descended, is thought to have constructed the shrine.
The nearby Somnath Temple is a significant attraction for Shri Bhalka Teerth and is only a few kilometers away. The temple is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are regarded as Lord Shiva's most renowned sanctuaries. Around the Somnath Temple, it is believed that Lord Krishna's body was burnt.
