Akshardham Temple

A majestic Hindu temple honouring Lord Swaminarayan is located in Gandhinagar and is called Akshardham Temple. The temple is a well-liked tourist attraction in Gujarat and is situated on the Yamuna River's banks.

The temple complex is encircled by lovely gardens and fountains and is spread out over 23 acres of land. Ancient Hindu texts served as inspiration for the temple's architecture, which combines traditional and contemporary designs. The complex has beautiful carvings and sculptures and is constructed of pink sandstone. The main monument at Akshardham Temple, which is 108 feet tall and composed of 6,000 tonnes of pink sandstone, is one of its main draws. The monument is made up of 17 domes, 8 lesser domes surrounding the primary dome, and 97 finely carved pillars.
