The Red Fort, commonly known as the 'Lal Qila', is a medieval fort in the Indian city of Old Delhi. The fort was erected in the mid-17th century by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and served as the Mughal monarchs' principal home for about 200 years. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built of red sandstone.
The fort is 254.67 acres in size and has several buildings and constructions, including the Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Rang Mahal, Khas Mahal, Hammam, and Moti Masjid.

The fort also houses the Sound and Light Show, which is presented every evening and gives visitors an overview of the fort's and the Mughal Empire's history. The entertainment is performed in both English and Hindi and is a popular draw for visitors.
