Holi Celebrations Amplified- Experience the Vibrant International Pushkar Holi Festival

Experience the most energetic, spiritual, bustling, colourful, Holi festival at the Pushkar International Holi Festival starting from March 4th till March 7th. Holi is said to be one of the most important festivals in the Hindu calendar. It represents the triumph of good over evil with the burning of Holika. On this auspicious day, people come together and forget all their resentments and spread love which goes by the famous Holi saying "Bura na mano Holi hai".

The 4-day Holi Festival in Pushkar is an initiative by RTDC, in association with the Department of Tourism and District Administration Ajmer. One of the highlights of the festival is the second day of the festival where a parade is followed by a huge colour fight where everyone throws rings and water at each other and dance their heart out.

The event starts with the Holi bonfire surrounded by locals singing devotional songs. The next days are all about music and colours where the party starts at about 10 in the morning and goes till 5 in the evening. The town square is transferred into a playground filled with colours everywhere, a sight to behold. Alcohol is prohibited here.

The DJ plays energetic and thumping Bollywood beats and music to which thousands of people dance while getting coloured. There is a part in the event known as Kapda and Holi where people tear clothes off each other and roam around bare-chested. Females are not included in this which is made sure by the police department.

Here are some of the other highlights of this event:
