All you need to know about UP 7th edition of the Bird and Nature Festival
Nature lovers are excited to witness the 7th edition of the Bird and Nature festival from Feb 1st - 3rd at Vijay Sagar Bird Sanctuary located in Mahoba district in the Bundelkhand region of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The sanctuary is a popular spot for birdwatching and is home to a wide variety of bird species, including migratory birds. The sanctuary is also home to a number of other animals such as jackals, hyenas, and wild boars. It is around 80 km from the city of Mahoba and is considered as one of the best birding spots in the region. Some of the avian species found in Uttar Pradesh include Sarus Crane, Painted Stork, Bar-headed Goose, and Greater Adjutant .
It is said to be an initiative to promote the new circuits developed in the sanctuary which can attract a wide range of tourists and increase the number of visitors to the region. Experts around the world ,photographers ,students and lovers of avian species have been invited to be a part of the event.
The main focus-area of the festival’s 7th edition is “Ecotourism for nature conservation” which will help in re-affirming partnerships with organizations such as the British Bird Fair and Bird Life International and can help to promote ecotourism in the Bundelkhand region and support nature conservation efforts.
The festival is jointly organized by the Forest and Eco Tourism Department of Uttar Pradesh, and a number of experts will lead the discussion, panel sessions, photo exhibits, book launches, and the best of all field excursions.
