Travel enquiries & bookings see a surge with record breaking number

After the devastating years of pandemic for 2 years, people were bound to not travel & many restrictions. But post mid-February, the graph had declined and fear of virus gone out, a sudden surge in travel enquiries has been observed. The good news for travel industry, hospitality & related business is also relaxing for travel lovers. It is true that people are enjoying through virtual tourism but fun of exploring the world with own spectacles is unmatchable.

Since March 2020, Travel enquiries & bookings reached 100% of pre-pandemic level leaving tourism sector stun. Specially after mid-march, post exam vacations begun which led to small weekend as well as long vacations in various states of India. A major contribution is heat waves of March in northern plains that make people to search about Hill Stations to get relax from heat. Nainital, Shimla, Mussoorie, Dehradun & many others places see a throng of tourists. After lifting restrictions on international flights from 27th march, Indian nationals also get indulge in booking foreign holiday destinations after a 2 years gap. With e-visa facility, enquiries for Maldives, Thailand, Dubai, Mauritius, Sri Lanka & Australia.

Without worrying about virus wave, people are focused to have revenge tourism. Tourism companies and Departments are also flaunting attractive festivals & offers to attract tourists to visit their state and make domestic destinations more popular. Ladakh, Kashmir, Kerala, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal are some states to actively participate in tourism culture.
