Newly launched Surkanda Devi Temple Ropeway Service in Uttarakhand

The newly inaugurated ropeway services is a great relief for tourists covering distance of Surkanda Devi Temple in 2 hours.

CM Pushkar Dhami inaugurated the Kaddukhal-Sidhhpeeth Devi ropeway services in Tehri district, Uttarakhand on last Sunday. The ropeway is a great initiative to offer relief to the devotees and tourists coming for darshan of Surkanda Devi.

The CM also get had ride of ropeway and offered prayers at Devi temple wishing prosperity for state. The ropeway will help to decrease the travel time of 2 hours on foot to few minutes. It will also boost tourism in Tehri district with offer of aerial ride watching beautiful surroundings and reduced travel time. The ropeway project is a major means of pollution free transport and associated with employment of local people. The project has been executed under the Parvatmala Scheme run by Central Government.

About Surkanda Devi temple

The Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeth of Goddess Durga and dedicated to Goddess Surkanda. The temple is famous among visitors for architectural beauty and location geometrics. It offers surreal view form 360-degree angles perched at an altitude of 2700 metres.
Location- The Temple is located in Chamba- Mussoorie Road and 6.7 kms form Dhanaulti.
