Tirupati Balaji temple is a revered destination unaffected from season or special occasion. In context of the popularity and visitors rate, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation had announced new AC bus service to be operational for Tirupati from Trichy commencing in August 8.
This is a new initiative to give a boost to the tourism in state with new tour package including meal and special darshan ticket in Tirumala.
As per reports, charges will be INR 3300 for adults and INR 3000 for children in age group of 4 to 10 years. The booking for this pilgrimage tour can be done 7 days prior before the travelling date. There will be two more boarding points in route: Perambalur and Villupuram. The initial boarding point will be Hotel Tamil Nadu near central bus stand.
Timings of the bus are decided to offer overnight journey starting at 9 PM and will reach Tirupati by 5 am next day. The package will include accommodation for 2 hours at Tirupati after which they will visit Tirumala Temple by another bus.
After receiving response and success rate of the bus service, TTDC can plan more buses from other cities for easy connectivity to Tirupati Temple.
