J&K Tourism Department launches Srinagar Heritage tour Bus Service for Tourists

With increasing trend of attract tourists to prominent attractions of state, respective governments are taking initiative to provide best facility and experience. In the context, Kashmir Government has launched Srinagar City Heritage Tour Bus Service that will take tourists to dive in heritage sites, cuisines and local handicrafts of the region. 

The tour route of bus will pass through Burzhama, Hariparbat, Chatipadshahi, Jama Masjid, Hazratbal, Budhhist site Harwan, Pari Mahal and other destinations. The motive of launch of bus service is to enhance experience of visitors and boost the natural tourism with focus at heritage. The launch date was chosen as National Tourism Day, 25th January 2022. On the special day, DoT, Kashmir had organized snow events in Gulmarg, Doodhpathri and Sonmarg. 

The Tour bus service was flagged by Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary of Tourism. On the launch occasion, he further added- The Department is thinking of starting night skiing and night Shikara in the valley. Night Sky tourism is gaining popularity and both activities are very huge in Kashmir tourism. In future, some more places will be added to bus services as temple, mosques, archaeological sites, shrines, famous cuisine shops and more.
