It’s a holy week for the devotees of Budha , as Bodh Gaya a district in Gaya,Bihar is all set for hosting the annual Bodh Mahotsav at Kalchakra ground after Covid-19 hit the world.The event to be hosted from 27th-29th January,2023.
Buddhism has made Bodh Gaya a place of pilgrimage since the first holy event occurred there in 1998. Bodh Gaya is extremely important to Buddhism because Gautama Buddha acquired Enlightenment in Bodh Gaya. People of all religions admire the Buddha for his wonderful message of compassion and peace, which he articulated. Visitors claim that the tranquilly and stillness of Bodh Gaya is of a distinct kind. The Gaya district administrations and the state tourism agency are credited for organizing the event
The Tibetan temple in Bodh Gaya has made exceptional preparations for the arrival of the spiritual and political leader Dalai Lama. He arrived in Bihar on December 25th. From December 29th to December 31st, he gave sermons at Kalachakra Maidan. On January 1st, a special devotional service was held at the Mahabodhi Temple. At this massive event, a number of well-known performers from the cinema and television industries will also be present
While people from all over the world converge to commemorate the event, the authorities have been gravely concerned about four foreign covid cases. In addition to one each from Thailand and Myanmar, there are two of them from England. Over 20,000 devotees from about 40 different countries will stay in Gaya for the speech. The Mahabodhi temple, the Bodhi tree, and the Great Buddha statue would be the event's main draws.
