The Department of Tourism of Arunachal Pradesh will organize Trans Arunachal Drive from May 1, 2022. With major focus on promoting tourism, the event will display the tourist attractions, destinations and biodiversity sites.
The 12 days road trip will cover 2000 km and held as Dekho Apna Desh, Dekho Apna Pradesh scheme. The vent will be flagged from Roing and will pass through Anini, Bomjir, etc to culminate at Tawang. The entire route can be divided into multiple zones to complete the drive easily as per comfort.
The first edition if the vent took place in 2021 from Namsai to Tawang in partnership with Mahindra Adventure and JK Tyres. The tagline of the event is Gateway to Serenity. The second edition of year 2022 is connected with under-construction two-lane highway project in Arunachal Pradesh. Roing is home to the lush green valleys, snow capped peaks. While other places enroute are less explored places of state with blessed natural beauty. Dirang is known for fruit orchards of apple, kiwi and hot springs. Tawang is most visited tourist destination of Arunachal Pradesh with monasteries, beautiful lakes and pristine beauty.
The Trans Arunachal Drive 2022 would take you to journey across entire state over 2 weeks where you can experience culture, food and landscape of state. For adventure seekers a 12 days drive with your car, jeep or motorcycle on trechareous roads in mountaineous region. At lower altitudes, you can see lush green hills while at higher zone, locations will change. Pass through highest point Sela pass and Penga Teng Tso lake where it begin to snow.
