Received good response of Igloo café in Ski city Gulmarg, kolahoi Group came with World’s largest Igloo Café in the region. The Café is opened for visitors till mid-march. Concept of snow cafes is very popular in Switzerland, Finland and Canada, even they also provide stay facilities in those cafes. Catching the trend, the creator of Igloo Cafe has brought the same concept all set to build a new world record of largest café with dimensions of 37.5 feet tall & 44.5 feet diameter. The Café is named as Snowglu and has been setup at the famous ski resort of Gulmarg, J&K.
As per one of the members of Snowglu, they have applied the café for the World Record. The cafe comprises of two sections- seating area & art space. The seat covers are designed with sheep’s skin and art space is decorated with wall carvings. Visitors can enjoy authentic Kashmiri Cuisine at the unique ambience of café. The café is also getting good reviews from tourists with unique setup of ice tables, hand-engraved copper samovar. An igloo is a hut-like structure built with snow. Air pockets trapped inside the snow act as insulators to prevent the igloo from becoming intolerably cold.
J&K Government is trying all latest facilities to give comfort to tourists and promote tourism. As per the latest budget 2022-23, a new scheme has been launched- Parvat Mela that will facilitate to create a modern system of transportation on the mountains & Hilly Terrains. The objective is to improve connectivity and convenience for commuters alongwith promoting tourism. The approach will emphasis to build infrastructure like roads, railways, airports, ports, waterways and logistics.
