The ski resort of Uttarakhand, Auli, is now planned to transition into a year-round adventure travel destination. Making this ambition a reality is a top priority for Uttarakhand Tourism. The long term plan for making Auli a popular worldwide tourist destination is now being prepared, according to the state's tourism minister, Satpal Maharaj, at a meeting of the department's senior officials.
The hill station will become a popular tourist destination all year round, according to the Minister, thanks to the master plan. The tourism minister announced that plans would be made to offer skiing in the winter and to promote outdoor pursuits like hiking, trekking, and rock climbing in the summer in order to make it a year-round destination for adventure sports.
According to the minister, the government would build practice slopes with kids in mind. For all age groups, these amenities will be constructed. To bring in as many visitors as possible to the well-known location in the hill state, major infrastructure development projects will be implemented. Visitors from all over the nation flock to this well-known skiing location in Uttarakhand throughout the winter because of the snowfall and the national skiing competitions.
Auli's tourism amenities were assessed during SS Sandhu, the state's chief secretary, last month's inspection trip to the hill town.
The slopes in Auli are regarded as some of the greatest in Asia by skiers from all over the world. In Auli, there are two ski slopes that meet international standards. Auli to Joshimath is connected via Asia's longest and tallest cable car link, which is four kilometers long. In the local dialect, Auli is referred to as Bugyal, which means meadow. Additionally, it serves as the entrance to the Valley of Flowers National Park, as well as the Hemkund Sahib Gurdwara and notable hiking locations including Gorson Bugyal, Pangerchulla Summit, and Tapovan.
