In a recent trip update, the government of Goa has blazoned to test all incoming transnational passengers for COVID-19. Trippers from "non-high threat" nations will also get tested upon appearance at the Goa international airfield. The state government has also limited the cost of the rapid-fire RT-PCR test at INR 1500.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced this news. The minister took to Twitter and said that given the increase in Coronavirus cases in the country, the state government issued an indirect to this effect. According to the current situation, the government has introduced new rules for new time parties and fests in the Goa state. New Year is a necessary festival in Goa. The government is doing everything to keep people safe. Vaccination instrument or negative PCR report has been obligatory for entry at public events. All cafés in the state are allowed to serve with only 50 percent capacity.
Because of the rising cases and as per the circular issued by the Govt of Goa, they shall be testing all international passengers on arrival, traveling from high-risk and non-high-risk countries.

Goa has found one case of the new Omicron variant. Still, the figures for COVID-19 patients are increasing. There were 170 new patient-reported in the state on Wednesday.
