People of Holy City Jharkhand get good news with addition of new airport in their city. The city in Jharkhand is well known for religious importance and makes it as popular tourist destination.
With the collaborative initiative of Airport Authority of India & Jharkhand Government, second airport at state at Deogarh is completely ready. As per reports, it will begin with only domestic flight operations. Two Airlines companies Spice jet & Indigo has got green signal from authorized ministry to begin flight operations. The flights will fly to Delhi, Kolkata, Ranchi & Bengaluru.
The Airport is spread across an area of 650 acres and showcase the structure of Baba Baidyanath Temple- one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The spiritual connection is derived from era of Ramayana. This will be second airport in the state after first one in Ranchi. It will provide best facilities to travellers of Dumka, Gonda, Banka and neighbouring sates of Bihar. The Terminal architecture is influenced with tribal art, handicrafts and local heritage sites of Jharkhand. Equipped with all modern facilities and six check-in counters, it can handle 200 passengers at one time.
As per Airport Director of Deogarh, it is a domestic Airport where Airbus will run on a 2500 metres long & 45 metres wide runway. Departure Conveyor, conveyor belts, X-rays, security compliances, CCTVs are also installed inside the terminal to offer best experience to visitors.
The development will definitely boost up the tourism and employment at the famous pilgrimage site of Deogarh.
